Cyber security and the war in Afghanistan are expected to be high on the agenda when Defence Minister John Faulkner meets with a visiting Pentagon official on Tuesday.
US Deputy Secretary of Defence William Lynn says the US and Australia need to share their technological expertise.
“There’s really no sovereignty on the internet so international collaboration between two allies as close as the US and Australia is critical,” Mr Lynn told ABC television from Canberra on Monday.
